By fitting the double blades in front of the Suzy Sucker or Curly Sue you add a completely different action to your lure. You simply attach them to the front split ring and they are ready for action. The double blades allow the lure to be used like a huge in-line spinner. It can be fished fast and bulged at the surface or slower and deeper for increased vibration. The double blades have been very effective during low light and night fishing. The best part is that the blades are easy to remove should you want too, but once you have tried them you might not want to take them off. We recommend #8 double blades for the 6" and 9" Suzy Sucker and Curly Sue. The picture shows a 6" Curly Sue fitted with the #8 double blades. With the long curly tail flowing behind the bait it looks just like a musk rat swimming on the surface. The #10 double blades will also work on the 9" Sinking Suzy Sucker and the 9" Curly Sue. These are 0.051 stainless steel solid wires that have twisted closed loops at both ends for extra strength. We have three sizes, 2", 3" and 4". The 2" wires are used on the 9" Suzy Sucker. The wires can be used to change the position of treble hooks on any soft plastic lure. They are also perfect for our double eyed jig hooks. If you click on the picture you will see an example of a 3" wire being used with a double eyed jig hook and a 9" soft plastic swim shad. We have these double eyed jig hooks made especially for us using an extra strong 8/0 Mustad hook. With an extra eye at the bottom of the jig hook allows for an easy and secure fitment of a stinger treble hook. These jig hooks work perfectly with our closed loop stainless steel wires. Choose a wire length to suit the size of the soft plastic lures you are using. They are available in two sizes, 13 gram and 22 gram. Each pack contains two jig hooks of the same size.
